I attempted to order this TINY 2 1/2 oz mouse. The company that distributes it is J&R Music and Computer World.
The item’s page states that it costs $9.99 + FREE SHIPPING. After I placed the order, I realized that I was going to be charged over $21 for shipping to Hawaii so I tried to change the shipping preference looking for the FREE SHIPPING option but the only option that was offered was EXPEDITED SHIPPING.
I called Amazon customer service and the rep, who was very nice, gave me the number for J&R Music and suggested I call them and ask them to honor the FREE SHIPPING.
O.K. I’m in Hawaii and I understand that it costs more to ship to Hawaii, but $21 for something that weighs less than 3 oz??? REDICULOUS!!!
After speaking to no less than FOUR agents, the last guy told me that not only do they not ship for free to Hawaii (fine with me…don’t advertise FREE SHIPPING then) but that he could only get the shipping down to $19.
I asked them why they couldn’t simply drop this mini mouse into a Priority Mail envelope and drop it into the mail box instead of charging me TWICE what the item actually costs for shipping.
Their answer was that because it is an electronic item, it has to be shipped via UPS. I told them that I would take that risk but they wouldn’t do it.
I asked if it was really worth it to risk losing my business and receiving a negative review on Amazon, especially when THEY advertized FREE SHIPPING in the first place.
Apparently, it doesn’t bother them.
I’ll tell everyone I know to avoid this company.
Hopefully, I can find this mouse somewhere else…

It’s a small inexpensive mouse that appears to be well constructed. My only complaint is with the scroll wheel. The cursor doesn’t move far enough when you sroll, probably due to the small size of the wheel.

I have purchased at least three of these little Macally ICE Mini Mouses (Mice?) over the past eight years and love them. These elegant little mouses are very durable, highly responsive and extremely maneuverable. They are especially good for small desk areas. They’re not clunky like standard sized mice, and once you get used to them, it’s hard to return to the standard size. They look great and are extremely accurate. I also like using the right click button feature on my MacBook Pro. When I feel like treating my home MacBook Pro to a new mouse, I buy a new ICE Mini and take my old Mini Mouse to work and plug it into the clunky, crude and cranky Dell laptop that I’m forced to use in the office. The optical feature works great on normal rubber mouse pads as well as on desktop surfaces.

I recently bought this mini-mouse, and so far I have been pleased with its working ability. It doesn’t require a mousepad, and it works best for me on paper. Its really light and easy to tote around. Very much worth the money I paid.

I just began using my new mouse a few minutes ago, and I love it already. I love that it matches my iBook and it’s very smooth. The cord is a good length and the scrolly thing is very smooth. I feel like it is a bit small for my hand, and I have pretty small hands, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it the more I use it. The size is really the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It’s a nice notebook sized mouse, but it’s just a BIT too tiny.
